Greenland Sells Itself To Mexico To Spite Trump

In what is being interpreted as a clear rebuke to President Trump, the country of Greenland has announced its sale – to Mexico.

“Finally Mexico has a strategic foothold in the North Atlantic.”

The Mexican Government wasn’t enthused about purchasing the ice-covered landmass at first – until it heard the price.

“300 pesos and Denmark will continue to provide defence and maintain infrastructure – now that’s what we call a deal!”

Mexican officials say despite appearing to be difficult, the annexation will be quite straightforward.

“Everyone is highly motivated to piss off you-know-who, and green is already our national color!”

Greenlanders say they are happy to incorporate the new elements of their national identity, and will now be selling sombreros alongside muskox scarves in gift shops.

“We can’t wait for our first Cinco de Mayo – anyone know how to make a piping-hot Margarita?”

The autonomous Mexican State of Greenland – aka NorMex – said it is happy to welcome its fellow citizens to come and check it out.

“Anytime you feel too hot down there in SouMex, come visit and we’ll trash talk the orange one together.”
