In addition, the Chicago Tribune reports that 1,800 people have been shot in Chicago since Jan. 1, 2019. On Sunday, 17-year-old Dontevon Gates was shot and killed in the city's South Side, reported the Chicago Sun-Times. "Gates was hit in the neck and back," said the Sun-Times.
