Freddy, we're on the same side on this one. I saw some documents on ABC last night which are purportedly a long, word-processed report which was given to Monica wherein she is being coached how to lie about the affair on each minute point. I am not clear yet where the document came from.
Clinton has a sexual addiction disease process going on, something he could have sought treatment for years ago if he had wanted to be healthier. Because he did not, it has become a tragedy, a man with a fatal flaw spinning out of control leading the world's largest superpower. Obviously, from a moral standpoint as well, there is a huge difference between discreetly having an affair, or even many, and preying on young women in your employ. I am embarrassed to have my daughter find out so publicly that some men treat women so disrespectfully. There are all sorts of worplace law violations here (isn't that what Paula Jones was alleging?), in addition to perjury.
I am a little confused about Linda Tripp's role, but there were legal experts on television last night saying her early telephone wiretapping was probably admissable because she was acting in her official capacity as an officer sworn to uphold the law. Then of course, after Janet Reno and a panel of three federal judges approved of her actually wearing a wire and being accompanied by FBI agents, the wiretap is official. The Department of Justice has finally shown some independence, at least. Janet Reno has done everything she can to protect the president, so her go-ahead is an indication this is very serious. |
