To the assembled literati: I have a special favor to ask. I'm collecting all known English-language synonyms, colloquialisms, euphemisms... for homosexual. I'm doing so at the behest of a friend who is an oral translator and thus has a truly special relationship to our chosen tongue. I'll start : gay queer a little light in the loafers fudgepacker boof OK: everybody now! (Recommended format: Quote the preceding list before adding your terms or phrases. That way, as it propagates, it won't be scattered into a lot of scraps. Have fun y'all) (Disclaimer: the above is an exercise in language. Unfortunately, since we're still in the twilight of institutional homophobia, some of the terms will be about as polite as "nigger". Don't omit these, and don't imagine for a moment that either I or the contributor is in fact bashing gays.)
