ZIP is the product for average home users. And I think IOM's objective is to increase the mass awareness of the utility of ZIP. What is a better time to do that than at the SuperBowl? Jaz and other stuff are not the flagship of IOM now, and it would be a good way to get the attention if the ad is not cluttered with all kinds of stuff.
