I just received my AEP electric bill a couple of days ago...in the insert, front page, was information about e-Bill. Told how it was going to work.

You had to go to the web site, AEP or Checkfree to sign-up.

Customers who signed up would receive an e-Mail telling them that the bill had been sent. They could then go to either site to review the billing, and pay it. During the first couple months those that signed up would receive both an electronic & paper bill. If you wanted to set up online payment, that was an extra step.

Said that service would be available by the end of the month. The billing was comming in free...of charge...return payment was less than postage.

I was excited...I wanted to pay my bill right away just to see how it worked...but it's not ready yet.

damm....damm...damm...
