I need to this day (HK Sunday) do mid-day visit to the airport to confer with outgoing and incoming partners at the HK airport (Regal Hotel) contiguous to the airport building and rail line. Coincidentally this is the day when either daytime demonstrators and / or nighttime rioters intends to block the airport if their respective plans are still on. The meeting may take several hours and immediately afterwards, I am supposed to attend a black tie event in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui shopping district to engage with birthday celebration of the mom of local celebrity.
Let us see how it all goes. Suspect okay but who can know.
The bad actors, if numerically superior, would cause a problem. The good actors, if all responsible and in strength, might (very doubtful) be able to temper the situation.
As usual, the innocents would get hurt.
The suspect press is deliberately mixing up yesterday's time line, making it seem that the earlier / daytime protestors and the later / night time rioters are one and the same and comparable in numbers. Let us see the interaction between truth and spin.
As I follow multiple sources and deliberately dialogue w/ folks of the street every chance I get daily, am sure am getting a better picture of the street situation than Reuters, Bloomberg, etc etc and once every so often can easily pick out honest reporting from the suspect press.
As arrests mount and infiltrations seep deep, rule of law shall be upheld
At the same time the incompetents and bad actors amongst the government and civil service would likely have to retire in lands elsewhere
I am very extremely curious of the coming week’s HK financial market actions and reactions.
A guess of the developing trajectory
note: the immediately below title suggest that the daytime demonstrators are ready to fight, as did the nighttime rioters, which simply is not the case
and the second heading of semi-honest reporting actually should suggest that the military is getting into fake news big time
in any case 2020 should be really interesting
