El Loco: The people who lived in a trailer near the Odessa shooter's shack called him that. His shack had no electricity, no plumbing, no floors, no furniture. Police had gone looking for him before but couldn't find him. They didn't realize his shack had someone living in it. When his neighbors heard someone was shooting people between Odessa and Midland, they said that could be El Loco. It turned out it was El Loco. After he was fired, both El Loco and his employer both called 911. El Loco also called the FBI tip line, a number he'd called hundreds of times before.
