This is where looking at the weekly graphs and indicators can help. Also, noting relative strength and the flow of money into sectors and industries and individual companies can be revealing. The fundies must be doing something with their money. Due to their performance focused frame of mind, their cash must be in the process of burning a hole in their very much oversized pockets which are bursting at their seams, so to speak. Also, they may see that the market has bottomed out and unsuccessfully tested lows. This market has essentially been in a volitile but confirmed trading range for several months now. Since the fundies have to step in before the rest of the crowd does by accumulating over a period of time, they may have seen this as an opportunity to start moving their money back into the market.
