Dow Chemical won't be able to get around the math either. Their attempt to turn plastic back into virgin plastic won't be environmentally friendly nor cost effective. The only thing Dow Chemical can do is follow Crayola's lead and undertake projects which sound green but really aren't--that way they can fool the public into thinking the company is environmentally friendly just like Crayola does. Case in point is Crayola's 'Colorcycle' program of shipping used markers by UPS, using more gasoline as fuel for the trucks than could ever be in the markers, to Plastic2Oil Inc, a scam company which never processed anything outside of testing...but that didn't stop Crayola from getting all of those children to believe that Crayola is helping the earth.

The most cost effective and environmentally friendly process for plastic right now is straight recycling.
