FIDC prevents runs on the banks. You don't need the Federal Reserve to have the FIDC.

As to price stability, what price stability? The Fed has overseen the 99% destruction of the value of the dollar since the Fed's inception. They've failed at their primary goal. Then another goal was added, maximizing employment, which is fundamentally incompatible with price stability goals. That has politicized the Fed to such a degree that it is impossible for them to function.

Low inflation? What low inflation? The inflation statistics are manipulated and no longer hold any relationship ti reality. Inflation is everywhere. Asset inflation is through the room on stocks, bonds, housing. Rent, health care, and the cost of owning basics, and education costs are all through the roof. Everything that counts has seen prices go through the roof. And yet, the Fed can't find inflation anywhere. They are blind. They are useless.

Again, the bottom line is that what the Fed has done is widen the rich poor divide so incredibly much that the 99% has decided the whole system is rigged against them and the only way they will get ahead is to tear it down and start from scratch with Socialism at its core. The Fed did this. The Fed should be held accountable for their destruction of Capitalism.
