It was just a bunch of people having fun. That is all I saw. I especially liked the old man dancing, playing and laughing with his grand daughter and some friends. I can imagine how much fun it would be to dance with my grand daughter who is very musical and plays two instruments well at 12. I will watch these videos with her when next I visit. I don't know how you can think it is a fetish or a stereotype that was negative? It was nothing except people having fun. What I saw was joy and happiness and fun. I contrast that, with the poor women in the near east that are forced to wear black "Chadors", in the sweltering heat, with only a peek hole to see out of cowering under the males who too often abuse them, while the men get to wear white cool clothing and are as free as birds. Or all the other powerless women who are abused and subjugated around the world. I hate sexism as much as racism. I saw these dancing women as healthy and happy and nothing else and I love the music. When I can't sleep at night I put one on and it relaxes me and lifts my spirits. Here is one of my favorites. See if you can see the joy I see.
