Kindness should be a persons guiding light. The compass of kindness always points in the right direction.

I taught that to my children.

My girls said the best thing I did was I never punished them. And I never had a bit of trouble with either girl and they were both honor students that never got in trouble and one went to UC Berkeley and is a lawyer and the other is a scientist and both live story book lives with long term relationships.

They were both my buddies and one does not punish a buddy. They work things out.

I was so careful to never cause them anguish.
