Before the Internet people didn't have a forum to say science is not peer reviewed when it is peer reviewed and right wing nuts didn't have a forum to write things that are untrue though they always had the media pushing their lies. Liberals don't have these problems because 1) we believe in science and 2) we know how to look things up and 3) we question everything we read, even the things we agree with. When republicans said they had a health care plan (repeal and replace) thinking people wondered why they were so afraid of showing it to us (it didn't exist and we knew it). Dumb people thought the slogan was all they need (and it is. They really are this dumb). When republicans said their tax cuts will give us balanced budgets and pass those tax cuts before CBO scored them, we know they really don't care about the costs. We also watched CEOs beg for tax cuts without knowing the cost (about $2 trillion). Who wants $2 trillion of new debt? Republicans in Congress,republicans voters, Trump and CEOs who supported the tax cuts. The Internet is a great source of information and disinformation. Far too many people use it solely for the latter.
