Conservatism isn't so much my interest, as is anti-leftism. But I think economic prosperity long-term is a lost cause for this country; what we're seeing now is the beginning of the end. Socialist tendencies are a natural product of a collapsing economy that is built on debt. Trump could not have conceivably made a dent in it, although if he'd had some support of congress, the growth of deficit spending could have been held to a trillion a year. There is little to change the outcome of trillion dollar plus deficits besides economic growth and tax revolt (which is still coming).

But I entirely get your view; I just don't think there is a candidate announced as yet, D or R, I'd consider voting for other than Trump. The value of a continued presidency is a better risk than any of those other nutcases.

Trump has not, IMO, been the disaster that was predicted. If nothing else, he has shown just how improbable it is anyone would TRULY be able to "drain the swamp."
