I also have many of my father's tools, which included a brace-and-bit along with the drills.
But when we downsized a couple of years ago, I gave it to my oldest son, who has it in Asheville.
We live in a suburban area. I'm thinking in the event of a long term power outage, rural areas might be easier... hard to say.
One thing people would miss big time: prescription medicines. We have a very interesting
distribution system for that. Along with most other things, fragile.
