TLRD. I say value trap. Or at least not for me. I don't like buying retail stocks if I won't even by the product itself.

The stock is about men's suits. I've liked dressing in suit and tie in my day. Especially with custom suits and shirts. Now people who wear suits are almost insulted, as in "Here come the suits to tell us how to run our business."

Men look good in suits (imo). Did you see the picture of Burry standing in his office? Rumpled. Maybe overly casual, almost sloppy. Big short who was dressed far from any TLRD website picture. And he's giving the company instructions on how to run their business? Do they even have a business if fashion or style or current behavior so much favors the casual male?

I'm out of the business world, and I've not been to Europe for a while (where French/Italian men shop for suits as part of the culture). Does anybody buy suits here anymore? I guess maybe for a wedding? funeral? One suit per person is all that's necessary for a occasional "formal" event?

I finally bought a pair of dress slacks at Nordstrom rack a few weeks ago for a Seattle wedding. Wore it with my 35 year old navy sportcoat, 25 year-old pair of Church's dress shoes, 30 year-old narrow tie (I have a collection of hundreds of ties) and a $125 fitted shirt. I fit right in for "cocktail attire". There were suits/sport coats with the over 50 crowd. A rare sight for me. My 60-year old San Diego relative wore casual dress pants and sharp casual shirt. Who cared?

If we want to talk men's fashion and clothing, and where men and boys are spending their clothing money (if they even do that) then it's gonna be athletic wear or at least tilted toward athletic wear. ...And I'm there as the best dressed guy at the gym, lol.

So I'll stay away from TLRD stock. Shoulda considered it as a short.
