Jerry,
I don't know how much "out-of-money" you wrote your contract for. But
I just want to share this experience with you. I once wrote a covered
call on one of the stock that I owned. I thought I had it out of money large enough that I could close the position before the expiration date. Guess what the following week that stock went up
about 50%. I ran into the problem deciding if I want to close my
position then to keep my stock or let the contract exercised. I ended
up having it excersized because the stock went up even higher the following week. Just a thought!
