It's possible. I don't get that impression, though. Mr. Brain was posting as 'Golfgod' on IHang and he sounded like a person who would fall for the scam. Although that would be extremely sinister and brilliant if he were just playing the part of an unwitting victim because he did it well.

I get the impression that both Mr. Bordynuik and Mr. Heddle tried to keep the books moderately defensible. Even with the media credit fraud, Mr. Bordynuik had a story to support it even though that story crossed the line well into fraud. Since Mr. Brain is on the books for lending money to PTOI and listed as owning a number of shares which approximately matches what he posted on IHang, it supports that he put his own money into PTOI. If Mr. Brain were in on the scam, he wouldn't have put his own money into Mr. Heddle's hands. I think Mr. Brain at least is a bona fide victim. I don't know much about Mr. Aspin.

I don't know either way but I'm going to believe that Mr. Brain is a victim. However after this long as a director, he should absolutely take steps to make himself aware of the situation and he's not doing that. I think that's negligence on his part.

With all of these frauds, many of the steps taken are so off as to make someone ask whether the person taking the steps is a swindler or just stone cold stupid. For example, PTOI founder Mr. Bordynuik took processor #1 off line after it was supposedly producing $1M/quarter in gross margin after "commercial operations commenced." Either Mr. Bordynuik was a swindler or stone cold stupid to do/say that. I don't think Mr. Bordynuik is stone cold stupid. Likewise, I don't think Mr. Brain is a swindler.
