j.g., I was following along just fine until you got to <<when it doesn't affect their job, or perhaps even enhances it...>> Obviously it DOES affect his job-and he is either incredibly stupid or exhibiting breathtaking hubris. And neither characteristic is desirable in the man who heads our country. I fear I don't buy Christine's "sexual addiction disease process". All that means to me is that he's suffering from a severe case of l'amour propre and is incapable of self-control and good judgment. Also regardless of whether it's morally or ethically relevant to the adequate performance of his duties- he knew damn well that the American people are not "culturally enlightened" about these things. So why risk it?? Why rub their faces in it? The man is the consummate politician and should know better!...Again- stupid? Or arrogant? I don't care if he's a nice person or not--I agree with you that probably he can't be and do the job well, but boy, I certainly want a SMARTER one in the White House!
