.....I thought the banks were suppose to have such large reserves now with the new rules. The repo rate spiked to over 9% before the feds stepped in. Someone(s) out there needed cash and paid over four times the feds targeted overnight rate. They had to come in with billions to get it back down. The required liquidity to maintain these low overnight rates is just not there. I see the feds have had to come in several days in a row and will now do it weekly thru Oct 10..........just another form of QE........... This is NOT good folks. Just a year ago, the feds told us that reducing their balance sheet would proceed without incident..........would be "like watching paint dry"......I remember that dingbat Yellen saying there would not be another financial crisis in her lifetime........how anyone could have any confidence in what the feds feeds us is beyond me.

.....read the piece............"Until this week, the Fed hadn't launched an operation like this since 2008."

.................if they lose control of the overnight rate (the actual short term rate), look out.
