I have a terrier and she is very wild and impulsive, but always listens to me. I brought her up in dog parks, where she loves to tussle with other dogs, especially other terriers. Nevada is a great place to raise a dog because the weather is very moderate 9 months of the year ( summers are very hot) and it rarely rains and almost never snows in Clarke County.
I won my dog's allegiance by loving her to death. She adores me and I her. She likes my wife a lot, but loves me. She loves and trusts me so much, she will do anything I ask. All I have to do is wave my hand toward me and she comes. When I ask her to sit, she sits. I never really officially trained her. I talk to her a lot and explain things to her and she understands. She is very smart. I am very gentle with her as she is very sensitive. My dog has a heart of gold. Lots of people say I have the perfect dog. As a rescue, she gave me a hard time in the beginning and was very unruly and stubborn. But I won her heart through treating her great. I believe in kindness and gentleness, especially toward females. I jog with her for an hour in the morning and walk her a lot during the day. She is very high energy. She follows me everywhere and sleeps right next to me. She adopted my hours, lifestyle and personality. She kisses me when I am tense during the trading day. She is so good you have no idea. This dog loves to be hugged, petted and kissed. And she gets plenty of it on a daily basis. And she is so protective and territorial you have no idea.
If a dog really loves you, they will do just about anything for you. |
