Rarebird said: I can be quite polished. And the best way to find out if we agree on what constructive criticism is would be to begin right here and now.
I find you very "polished" for a liberal, based on your responses to me. You may have noticed some vicious personal attacks on me by some of your "friends," which I simply ignore because I don't consider them worth my time.
I'd guess that you are a gentlemen in the best sense of the word, and we'd probably have a great conversation in real life. I am going to copy the remainder of your post here and add my responses to it in italics:
Rarebird wrote: "I think Trump is self-destructing. His tariffs are the main cause behind the recession that most expect next year. By most I mean 66% of company CFOs and about 50% of Americans." (Honey sez: I think Trump is strong and gaining power every day. IMO, and in other financial experts opinion's, Trump's tariffs were desperately needed to stop China from becoming the world's number-one super power. They have been stealing our IP and taking $hundreds of billions, yearly, from the U.S. for a long time.)
Rarebird wrote: The inverted yield curve is a good harbinger of recessions 12 to 18 months down the road. (Honey sez: Not necessarily so. There are a lot of other factors to consider. I recommend this Forbes article on the subject if you truly have an open mind.)
Rarebird wrote: Now liberal or not, no one wants a recession because lots of people get hurt. (Honey sez: Really? It looks to me like the liberals are doing their best to bring one on with their blather and wishful thinking.)
Rarebird wrote: I think Trump got in over his head and underestimated the strength of the Chinese economy and the resolve of its people. (Honey sez: Conclusions with zero evidence.)
Rarebird wrote: And in case you are wondering, I don't support the Chinese. I agree that they pursue intellectutual property theft and are basically pseudo capitalists. However, I would've handled this very differently than Trump has. I would have brokered trade treaties with our European and Asian allies first and then put global pressure on the Chinese. (Honey sez: Okay, why do you think that Clinton, Bush or Obama didn't think of doing what you would have done?)
Rarebird wrote: Trump chose to go it alone and the result looks like recession in USA. I call that self-destructive behavior. (Honey sez: In order to accept your reason for calling him "self-destructive," you have to prove the two premises you based it on are actual fact, which is impossible since they are only speculation.) |
