He may not have known, for example, that Biden had withheld the money from Ukraine while Hunter Biden was sitting on the board of the company under investigation. That was, after all, the original sin. It would be totally appropriate for Trump to have requested an investigation of this potential criminal activity by Ukraine's internal personnel, I believe. We certainly request investigatory help from foreign nations on a routine basis.
