"poor AT&T" .... Don't make me laugh. Are you by any chance one of the PCS contractors taking them for an expensive ride? Stop feeling so guilty about it. In fact, I hope you squeezed them for every last dime.

AT&T deserves to fall down hard, and this year we are finally getting to see it happen. Actually we've been seeing it happen for years in its inept moves like destroying NCR, launching the money losing universal Card (to which you can't even charge your AT&T wireless phone bill), and launching an Internet service which it couldn't support. Now, we are finally seeing it happen in the stock price. Too bad so many ordinary middle income people will lose money as AT&T plunges over the next 10 years.

AT&T has bloated, arrogant, overpaid and inept management, inferior products (ever bought anything at an AT&T phone center?) stupid advertising (ever tried to understand the legalese fast talker in an AT&T commercial) and a condescending attitude (huge layoffs followed by a full page ad in the Times begging corporate America to hire their fine rejects).

The only AT&T service I use is AT&T wireless, which is a fine product, but THEY DIDN'T BUILD IT, and they didn't win me as a customer; they only bought my account from Cellular One. I can't wait to get my PowerFone and get away from AT&T once and for all.

Go Nextel! I love their attitude. Borrow billions and launch a no holes barred offensive. I'm glad I got in to this stock at $15. Ten bagger in four years. The expertise to do it right.
