And there is a logical reason why. Scientists believe differently than most right wingers and Republicans.

Simple and true.

So you are looking at it with a jaundiced eye. Universities, around the world are dominated with liberals for a good reason. They are the educated ones most often.

Universities, are centers of knowledge and logic. That is what they are for.

And the educated have "always, always" been more liberal down through history ; and that is because they learn that primitive ideas are often wrong.

E.g. bleeding people in the old days.

The right wing is not scientifically friendly and doesn't like that their ideas that conflict with the scientists;

E.g. scientists, more or less, believe in evolution over creationism. That does not sit well with the :believers".

Scientists believe (97%) that man made global warming is real. Right wingers and Republicans don't.

So how could a scientist be a Republican.?

If that stat is true it is because you can no longer be a Republican in College as a Professor or Student. It absolutely does not prove anything other than the fact that critical thinking is dead! I had an Economics Professor tell me I would never pass his class because of my right wing views! Color me surprised, I didnt know science had political correctness! liberals have taken over ever institution in our society, except of course common sense.
