Report: There Is ‘Total Panic’ Inside The Trump White House

[ Anyone with half a brain knew Trump would go bonkers sooner or later. Lets just hope officials refuse when he orders nuke strikes or other illegal orders. ]

“This doesn’t look like something that’s going to be overtaken by the next news cycle," one person told NBC News.

The whistleblower complaint alleging misconduct by President Donald Trump and resulting in an impeachment inquiry has the White House in “total panic” mode, NBC News reported on Thursday.

Administration officials are clambering for a strategy to counter House Democrats’ impeachment move but so far have no discernible plan of attack, according to sources who spoke with the news outlet, resulting in widespread “anxiety, unease, and concern.”

“There’s not a lot of confidence that there’s no there there,” one person told NBC.

The individual also said, “This doesn’t look like something that’s going to be overtaken by the next news cycle” — something that has helped Trump escape allegations in the past.

The whistleblower complaint, filed by someone in the intelligence community, alleges that Trump pressured Ukraine’s president to investigate his potential political opponent, Joe Biden, and used his powers as president for personal political gain. Further, the complaint says several White House officials were involved in an attempted cover up of Trump’s phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart.

As the situation unfolds, one fear keeping White House officials on edge is that the longer the impeachment inquiry lasts, the greater the chance of Trump becoming more erratic and “unmanageable.”

Though early attempts to put together an impeachment team are underway, it remains “unclear whether any type of war room-style effort would come to fruition or what form it might take, according to a person briefed on the plans.”
