It goes beyond hate. It is resentment. Resentment we liberals made the south integrate, resentment liberals have gone against their conservative culture, and especially resentment against the liberal college educated and their ideas about abortion, racism, sexism and the LGBT community.

It is hate and resentment and ignorance that drives the right wingers.

A huge trend we are seeing is that the women much more than the men see the folly of the Republicans and are fleeing to the dems.

In 2016 Trump won women without a college education by 26 points. Today they favor the dems by 6 points.

That is the ballgame right there.

And women prefer dems to pubs by 2 to 1. While the white men are about 50/50 and still lean toward Trump.

I wrote this a million times. Republicans believe in only one thing, hating Democrats. Without hate, they might have to actually hold their elected officials accountable for things like not balancing the budget, not getting Mexico to pay for a wall, no health care plan, destroying the reputation of the US (again) etc.

It's easier to hate than learn the basics but we knew that about them a long time ago.
