The photo of the Huawei Geeks shows them all wearing spectacles. Genes? Nutrition?

In 1988 I went from Antwerp to the Bruxelles EU environment people who were wanting a single Petrol and diesel specification across Europe. I was BP Oil International's diesel bloke. I told them why such an idea was bad.

But it was interesting to me that of the dozen or 15 people (all men) there were only a couple couple of us not wearing glasses. There was some age gap in that the average age was 10 years more than me. But even so.

Meanwhile, I don't see why Meng Wanzhou had to comply with USA trade restrictions on Iran which China happily trades with. Canada should release her forthwith as Canada has had nearly a year to figure out their legal bullshit. China could reasonably respond to the attack on their citizen with thermonuclear war on Canada. Or arrest all Canadian citizens in China and hold them as hostages charged with some bullshit thing like Canada is doing with Meng.

If Huawei agreed to not trade with Iran as a condition of doing business in USA then that's a commercial dispute not a criminal one.

Meanwhile, if Huawei is a security risk for USA, how are Xiaomi and others not also?

1,300,000,000 is a big enough crowd to make a market for pretty much anything. It seems a bad idea to cut Made in China off.

It might be that USA cutting off China makes USA more like North Korea or Albania back in the day rather than isolating China. It depends on the other 5 billion people. India will swing USA way. Euroserfs might or might not. Russia is forced by USA to go China way.

Meanwhile judge Lucy Koh is trying to give away USA intellectual property to Huawei , Samsung etc. I guess she'll be reversed. Qualcomm and I want our derisory royalties which were set far too low contrary to her ignorant opinion. USA wants to tax our profits and the pay of tens of thousands of Qualcomm employees.
