Yes indeed, but our only contact with them depends on space-time discontinuities and black holes, or maybe visiting space-aliens. In this world, any climate-only plan which stops all FF's, or even all electricity FF's in 10 years will cause a depression. A plan with a 2050 deadline is doable.
