I agree. Inflation is and has been throughout history, the way corrupt governments pay for debt they create.

The Romans did the exact same thing, at first their military gave the economy a boost, later it became a drag on the economy. Romans stopped being productive. Bureaucrats and speculators lived well and everyone else lived lives of shit.

Inflation became the norm... eventually their money wasn't wanted.

I'm preparing for the worst. I read a lot of history. The coming generations are fucked. Global warming is real. People are already buying land to protect them from the worst. I know because I'm looking too and prices are rising for the right land.

I always recommend the documentaries of Adam Curtis: Wiki Adam Curtis

Particularly The Century of the Self about Scientific propaganda and the rise of the power class, how they think they should control the masses and do control the masses.

All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace networks and genetics... the riddle of altruism and selfishness.

And one Handyman should watch: The Power of Nightmares

Suggests a parallel between the rise of Islamism in the Arab world and neoconservatism in the United States, and their mutual need, argues Curtis, to create the myth of a dangerous enemy to gain support.

Best Factual Series or Strand, BAFTA Awards 2005 [40]

In my opinion Curtis is a genius. In my spare time at night I'm a serial watcher of university level history lectures.
