OT - I am looking for a new cell phone. I'd like to get a new android that meets the following specs:

(1) Relatively big
(2) Very good battery life
(3) Bluetooth 5 (i.e. not too old of a phone)
(4) Fingerprint reader on the back
(5) Durability (pretty much rules out Samsung devices which seem to be programmed to die as soon as your contract is over).

Perks that I care about:
  • Hard environmental protection (water resistance, shock absorbance, strong screen, etc)
  • Good speakers
  • Good camera
  • Audio jack

======================

My current phone is 4 years old and I have been very happy with it. I would keep it for another 4 years or so if Trump had not banned the company from US and I could get decent support and upgrade for it. I loath all the gimmicky new "features" like front side fingerprint reader on the screen where for practical purposes I can only use my thumb and smudge the screen. I despise edge-to-edge screens and side slides which mean when you drop your phone it will shatter it. I don't like 90 Hz screens because they burn too much power. I don't need super high resolution. I'd rather the phone not be too thin so it is comfortable to hold and can house a larger battery. etc. etc.

Basically, I am looking for a great phone from 2 or 3 years ago that is still being built and supported...or a current one that has not given in to the gimmick trends.

Suggestions are much appreciated.
