No, I have no idea.

EDIT - the consensus on the net seems to be for "2 OS updates and 3 years of security updates from launch".


I have no reason to doubt that. If anything, current trends (greed) might shorten that. My son had the Samsung (7??) that would no longer charge the battery after an update. That was done purposely to get them off the market if I remember correctly. He got a fair trade-in deal with Verizon at the time.

And then some people say it's and Android problem and not Samsung doing it.

Why do Samsung phones slow down after some time of usage ...
