I think that SLB has a communication problem with its investors
period. Many on this thread as well as some analysts have
noted that SLB is particularly HUSH, HUSH. Try calling SLB-
these guys won't provide any specifics at all. They won't
disclose day rates(even to analysts they say). They won't
give any specifics on business conditions. So rumour/innuendo
and misinterpretation results. Remember a few weeks ago the
rumor that SLB secured a contract at a "below market rate."
Even though the rumour was false, the stock reacted.
I know SLB doesn't want to get sued-but they should at least
speak with one voice to the investment community.
