Why no reference to the size of deals You might add why ASND hasn't acquired any co. lately as it needs to to combine voice with data although ASND has been working with MSFT on a VPN technology which promises to be a defacto std. Note that CS and BAY has been on a buying binge lately for VPN, GSR, GBE, Cable Modem, xDSL technologies while their financial position are rather weak. Don't be dissapointed about ASND price performance. After all, it has risen from $22 to $31 in a month, which is 41% gain. Bay missed estimates in 5 consecutive qtrs, it took 3 good earning qtrs for it to recover to high 30s. It may take another qtr or two for ASND to recover to mid-40$. A period of backing and filling is required to build a base for a sustained rally, specially in the Asian flu and President Impeachment-scared market condition. Coming back to your original questions, your suspicion is well-founded.
