Jim and I first began corresponding as investors on the old Raging Bull AAPL board in the 90's. There was another guy on that board who harassed and doxxed a bunch of AAPL investors. I helped ID the guy, and Jim got together with some of the others who the guy had harassed, they took him to court and were awarded damages. I continued corresponding with him over the years, including here on SI, mostly by PM. The guy who harassed Jim at RB went on to bigger, more serious crime, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison in June of this year. I PM'd Jim in July when I heard about the sentencing, and he responded, thanking me and telling me he hadn't heard about it. I just checked the date he sent that message and it was July 17. He was a friend. We had good times together even though we never met, and I will miss him.
