They sure do.

Intel was the first major customer for Quickturn systems - they use banks of programmable logic (used to be Xilinx FPGAs) and SUn workststions. The original Pentium was run in emulation mode way back in the 1991/1992 time frame.

(Intel's emulation code must have also had the FDIV error!)
