Paul, I hope Eugene sees this and responds, since he told me about
his observation that the ratio DOW/NAZ oscillates around 5/1.
When the ratio is higher either the DOW is overbought or the NAZ is oversold. When it is lower, either the DOW is oversold or the NAZ is
overbought. My reaction would be to use the ratio as a warning
sign when it deviates more than 5% from 5/1. It is probably as
useful as some other empirical indicators.
