Managed to get thru to the cc for about 10 minutes before I got cut off. Heres a few of things I jotted down...

Zip
OEM accounted for 34% of units...up over 10% last year and (from my memory) 26% last q. Hurt revenues as these were sold at a lower price...also sold to distributors at a lower cost...1 million sold per month...over 12 million total...zip units shipped up 62% over 3q...because of oem sales, tie ratios were lower...will focus of disk sales in their advertising efforts.

Jaz
Up 7% over 3rd q...flat tie ratios...delay of jaz2 hurt revenues but more concerned with high quality.

Ditto
Down...market is declining as zip and other removable storage eat into it.

KE then stated 2 problems hurt revenue...Asia and...then I got cut off.

Overall, up to this point KE sounds positive and pleased with the results. I look forward to hearing the rest but my initial impresssion is that they have decided to focus aggressively on getting zip into all of the oem boxes...even at a much lower cost and consequently giving up some short term revenue.

Neil.
