Jim, the charges are perjury, suborning perjury, obstructing justice, and possibly tampering with witnesses. The president is elected to uphold the law of the land. While this case does not produce the chaos and constitutional crisis which Nixon's crimes did, do you believe the president is above the law? Are there times, if just sex is involved, that these above crimes are acceptable behavior? Incidentally, the young woman in question was an unpaid intern, wet behind the ears, just out of college. Interns are supposed to be carefully watched over and guided, because they are very young and the agencies which have interns have some sort of responsibility for their welfare. Hitting on an intern is very uncool.
