I don't think they are stealing our jobs. They are doing the jobs that Americans don't want. Worse, they do them under slave like conditions, and when they are abused, they have no access to law enforcement or any protections whatsoever. Now, what do the illegals do that is illegal? They come across our border without permission, they steal social security numbers and use them to impersonate others, they don't pay taxes, they use our health services for free, and they send their kids to our free public school even though they have not paid taxes to earn that right. In short, they have no respect for our laws. That has to stop.
A country without borders is not a country and no country has the infinite resources to support unfettered immigration. What we need are reasonable laws that provide for LEGAL immigration, including day worker and short term migrant worker passes, faster processing of green card applications, unlimited student and worker Visas, for those who qualify, and a simple path to citizenship for those who have learned English, understand our Constitution, and promise to be loyal to this country, uphold our laws, and adopt our culture of Capitalism and Democracy. And everyone temporary or permanent needs to pay taxes to be part of our system and to take advantage of our benefits. For everyone else, they don't belong here and we have a right to keep them out. |
