Of course, I change my opinion when the facts change. I'd say most intelligent people do that. If you persist in thinking a certain way when the facts demonstrate your error, then you'd quite rightly be called an idiot. As far as calling the Republicans my party, well, I guess you don't know me that well. I'm registered Unaffiliated and I've voted both sides of the aisle. I've been kicked off of Republican threads and Democrat threads. Neither likes me very much, because I have an independent mind and think for myself. I also call out the bullshit on anyone when I see it. I've been critical of Trump's deficit spending and calls for QE and low interest rates for awhile now. I get he's trying to get re-elected, but long term those monetary policies are ruinous for this country. As for Obama, he said some nice things about getting us out of the Middle East, but he turned out to be just as bloodthirsty as Bush Jr. In point of fact, Obama also continued the crazy bailout policies of Bush after the Great Recession set in. So there you have it. I'm critical of both sides when the facts call for it.
As for Trump lying about stealing my job, I've never said any such thing. No one stole my job. I retired awhile ago, wealthy and still relatively young. The US has been very good to me. I love being an American, even though I have to put up with the insane Socialists and Communists Millennials that have sprouted up like weeds recently. BTW, no one stole my job, but no one gave me my job when I was still working. I earned everything I achieved with no help from anyone but my parents. I built my own success. This Cuban American did it the good old fashioned way...I studied and worked my ass off and was smarter and harder working than my peers. And now, I get the good life. That's the American Dream. You should try it. I recommend it.
You know what they say about the Socialist Millennials and the politics of envy: "They want everything you have except for your job." |
