I was a professional data scientist, before they called it that, and I became an executive running large teams of data analysts in the tech industry. So you can have your fake stats to prove your point, but no intelligent people who understand math believe those polls.
As to the label of Socialist, it is not just a label, it is what your generation is. It is also exactly what this country fought two world wars to end. But you guys aren't interested in facts, because you think you know everything. Except you don't. My family and I have first hand experience with Socialism. It is pure evil dressed up in very appealing clothes and Bernie, AOC, and Warren have sold you the snake oil. It doesn't work on you, because you are ignorant and unwilling to learn anything about history. My attempts to educate you is for your own good. You see, I've already made my wealth, but maybe your generation hasn't. When you vote yourselves Socialism, you are literally voting for your own economic destruction. That won't impact me. It will impact you and your kids. So my calling you a Socialist is not driven out of hate, but out of my duty to teach you what my generation and the two that came before me know for a fact. Socialism is bad and destroys countries. Try it here in higher dosages at YOUR peril, not mine.
You are right about how American companies worked with Chinese companies and our government opened that door. We did it in the perhaps naive belief that capitalism would bring prosperity to the Chinese and with prosperity would come with it the desire for freedom and Western values. Instead, we created a monster. China is a Communist Dictatorship. It is not a label. It is a fact. They have implemented a techno savvy totalitarian regime, which controls every aspect of Chinese lives. The protestors in Hong Kong are not protesting for silly things like the right to wear women's clothes like your generation of Millennials is protesting for. The Hong Kong Millennials are protesting for their very basic freedoms, including freedom from being disappeared for having the wrong political view, freedom to vote for their own leaders not imposed on them by China, freedom to continue to own their own businesses and profit from them instead of the Chinese demanding that Communists sit on their Boards, as well as the freedom to speak their opinions without fear of retribution. Your silly protests seem positively childish by comparison. Hong Kong Millennials are more American than our American Millennials.
Your question about the Chinese having the right to have a Communist government if they so choose is so typical of the naivete of your generation. That's the wrong question. The whole point is that the Chinese do NOT have the right to choose their own government, because their government has imposed their will on the Chinese people. They simply don't have the right to choose. Neither do the North Koreans, the Russians, the Cubans, the Venezuelans, and countless other Dictatorships. That freedom was lost to them many decades ago, before you were born. We in the US still have that freedom, but your generation is doing its damnedest to destroy that right. Keep moving as fast as you can towards Socialism and Communism and you will face the unfortunate fate of the Chinese today. God willing, I will not be around to shed the tears over your generation's fate when that day comes, because my children will share your fate through no fault of their own. |
