I lived in Phoenix for over 20 years and also had a VERY rural property in southern Arizona. I retired in '98 and realized after a while that I wanted out of Phoenix (it was becoming more and more like Los Angeles).

We moved to the boondocks in 2003. So we did the opposite of you. No cell signal from any carrier at our home and the only broadband available is satellite.

But I wouldn't trade those boondocks 5 acres for anything.
