Yep. Coal is getting its' ass kicked by "alternatives". Many years ago I was hopeful that the new technology being developed would bring coal back. Not going to happen. That plant in Mississippi was the "great hope" for burning coal. It was abandoned. Too expensive and required HUGE subsidies. Nukes are moving in the same direction but there is some hope with new tech that could save them. TWT. RDK

Edit: The Miss. plant was converted to nat. gas.
