I am always puzzled by the hatred of Sanders for two primary reasons:

1) I would guess his supporters are and have been among the best and brightest minds in the country. And the best and the brightest are seldom more foolish than others.

2) And as a person with six years of university in social and political science, including a masters degree from the University of Washington in Public administration, forty years of politics and 20 years as a social planner, I can say that Sanders social ideology is "exactly" what is taught in the major universities as the ingredients for a better society.

As is Warren's ideology.

Which is why both are the picks of the liberals.

And it is relevant to note that a PEW poll a couple of years ago said 51% of scientists call themselves liberals and 80% lean Democratic and only 6% are Republicans.

That alone shows scientists have good sense :)>!
