Have you seen the trading range narrow from where it was in the past? Is this the "trend" the market volitility has been taking? If so, this can be good news. A decrease in market volitility can precede a significant move. Sure this move can be down, but it also can be up as well. This may involve a test of the 200 day MA if this happens. I can see this as being possible.
I really mst break down and purchase a new 3G drive. I feel "blind" without my database and technical analysis software. I will look at the charts you have on your web site, Chris. I am right now interested in the price action of some key indices like the DJIA, DJUA, NASDAQ 100, S&P500, and Russel 2000, including the volume with respect to price, A/D, and intermediate term trend (the weekly charts). I will need to dig up a set of charts on the sectors and some key companies like IBM, INTC, and a few other companies that represent the financials, cyclicals, and consumer staples. Also a chart of the long bond, and the long bond compared to the S&P500 may be helpful. Perhaps bigcharts.com has what I am looking for?
