I am not talking about intelligence,I are talking about an educated mind.

Look around the world Sam and compare the level of democracy and humanity in each country based on level of education in that country.

It is real easy to see. The educated countries do much better in almost every single case.

What I am saying is that many moderates and conservatives think liberals are loony.

But the liberal population boasts the most years of schooling of either the conservative or moderate population. And that is easy to check and quantify.

Point being, it is doubtful liberals are any more loony than anyone else, or that moderates have the right ideas and liberals the wrong ideas.

Funny they teach the liberal ideas in the universities.

<,

I am always puzzled by the hatred of Sanders for two primary reasons:

I would guess his supporters are and have been among the best and brightest minds in the country. And the best and the brightest are seldom more foolish than others.

You know what, Koan, it is no wonder that you are "puzzled". I don't doubt that his supporters believe themselves to be "among the best and brightest minds in the country".

The problem is, they aren't. The very clause "the best and brightest minds in the country" is meaningless. There are many different kinds of intelligence as well as many different kinds of stupidity. And quite a few people are intelligent in some ways and stupid in others. In fact, many people are like this. Bernie is one of them. So are many of his followers. A president from the past who was like that was John Quincy Adams. He was admirable in many ways. But although he spent many years in the House, he never got anything done. He was, in the words of Kennedy and Sorenson, "a minority of one".
