Re: "Brooks Fiber begins trials of Osicom's GigaMux DWDM for Metro Applications", I've seen mention here that WorldCom is buying Brooks, but I haven't seen a comparison of Brooks and Osicom. It's VERY interesting!

Brooks' Revenue for 9 months ending 9/97 = $84.2 million.
Osicom Revenue for 9 months " " " = slightly MORE, I think, but very close.

Brooks' Market Cap = $2,324,530,000 (YES, $2.3 BILLION)!
Osicoms Mkt Cap = about $110 Million.

Obviously, WorldCom saw something worth this much in Brooks before any earnings started (eps = - $3.25).

When Osicom reaches $116.20 / share our market cap AND revenue will be comparable to Brooks'. Of course with positive earnings vs. negative earnings from Brooks, I may hold out for more.

P.S. I've been a FIBR owner since early 1996. Currently long and at about a $7.00 avg. price, but looking lots better than a month ago.

Lisa, sorry to use your post. How do you do one without using RESPOND? Please don't get those West Virginia people after me! Been there (Harper's Ferry and Charles Town).
