I do not think investors will sell half of the holdings as 1 to 2 split when the price droopped from $79 to $52 in the past 3 months. From Oct to Dec, most of the new investors on CPQ are losers, so those investors will not sell as a 2:1 split. For the big volume of the past two trading days, my guess are all new investors want to get in at this lower price.
